Foreign Exchange - The Diplomatic Society (FEDS) ASIA Edition
Asia
and Africa
have recorded the largest economic growth over the past decade. In fact
six of the top ten fastest growing economies were Sub- Saharan
countries. Asia
topped the list at an average of around 7% while Africa reached around
5.5%.
These continents together, are home to almost half the world’s population at 3,3 billion
people. Rapid economic growth has created a demand for all manner of goods and services.
More
significantly,
Africa is endowed with vast mineral resources and Asia with its
manufacturing capabilities has a large demand for these
resources.
Since its
launch in 1997 Foreign Exchange – The Diplomatic Society (FEDS)
publication has become the lead facilitator of Economic Diplomacy. With
a focus on trade, tourism and investments it serves as a highly sought
after diplomatic resource as diplomats are tasked with seeking out
business opportunities to increase bilateral trade.
Originating
on
the African continent in South Africa the publishers, The Kianja
Project, view Asia as the obvious and natural expansion to FEDS
diplomatic
footprint. As a result its Asian head office will operate from Colombo,
the capital city of Sri Lanka. Its strategic geographic position makes
it an ideal logistical hub located strategically in South Asia centrally
between Africa, The Middle East, ASEAN and the Far East.
FEDS
Asia has the total support, cooperation, experience and reputation that
FEDS Africa has gained over the past
15 years since its inception in 1997. The tried and tested business
model pro-actively connects Governments, Business and Non-Governmental
Organisations (NGOs) with an inter-dependent information resource as
well as a communication forum that incorporates the print and digital
platforms.
FEDS has a unique reach to this influential audience who have specific needs for sophisticated goods and
services to effectively carry out their mandates while catering to the general demands of day to day duties and activities.
We therefore invite your inputs, comments and suggestions and create greater
awareness of your country, region, business, products and services, events and profiles.
