Colombo ,Sri Lanka 26,June 2015 . The Global Editor for Diplomatic Society Mr Srimal Fernando today (26th June 2015 ) paid a courtesy call on Nigeria's High Commissioner.to Sri Lanka, Mr. S. U. Ahmed, . The Nigerian High Commissioner Excellency Ahmed, briefed the Global Editor about the current political, economic and security situation in Nigeria 



In a conversation with the Global Editor Mr Srimal Fernando,the Ambassador .says cooperation between Sri Lanka and Nigeria would be a very important aspect of the bilateral relationship and have expanded manifold during the recent years. He also said due to strong economic fundamentals, the Nigeria is now Africa's largest economy. The meeting was attended by Mr M .Boco Head of Chancery/Counsellor and Mr Ibrahim Hamidu Councellor from The Nigerian High Commissioning in Colombo

 Colombo 22nd June 2015 , Today Mr .Srimal Fernando, Global Editor, The Diplomatic Society (TDS) met with H.E Zahiya Zareer High commissioner of Maldives on 22nd June 2015 at the High Commission of t he Maldives in Colombo ,Sri Lanka. During the meeting discussion centred on matters of bilateral significance. between Sri Lanka and the Maldives . The Excellency briefed about the current political situation in the Maldives as well as the developments in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, . Other discussions included ways and means of sustaining and further co-operation between Sri Lanka and the Maldives .and about the Memorandum of understanding (MoU)s signed on co-operation between both countries The Maldives and Sri Lanka continue to enjoy friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations 50 years ago.
